oin CertainTeed in Shreveport as a **Quality Lab Technician** , where you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the consistency and reliability of our roofing and raw materials. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct testing and audits on raw materials, in-process conditions, and finished products, while maintaining a clean, organized lab and supporting plant operations with technical insights.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll help identify and resolve quality issues, support data collection for SPC reporting, and ensure compliance with company standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and a passion for quality—prior lab or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Conduct raw material, process, and finished product testing and audits.

+ Conduct finished product audits, reporting thoroughly, concisely, and timely.

+ Maintaining a neat, adequately stocked, safe, and organized laboratory facility, keeping laboratory equipment in clean, working condition, and reporting issues promptly for repair.

+ Providing laboratory technical support to operations as directed.

+ Maintain the database accurately, entering test results promptly.

+ Adhere to testing frequencies mandated by CertainTeed regarding raw materials and finished products.

+ Meet the department’s key objectives

+ Participate in the Company Safety program

+ Must understand and follow job-specific SOPs

+ Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

+ A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree is preferred.

+ Knowledge and skills in laboratory techniques, materials, and safety are a plus.

+ Ability to work with computers and other technology.

+ Working knowledge of MS Office is required.

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.
