Job Description

DCWP seeks a College Aide hire to play a key role in the agency’s Information Technology team (DoTSS), while gaining IT experience during their college experience. The College Aides will assist the IT Operations team in updating and enrolling laptops into DCWP’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, agency inventory-asset tracking, and helpdesk support. Responsibilities and tasks will include, but not limited to:
Wireless Support
- Enrolling mobile devices in MDM (iPhones, iPads, Laptops)
- Configuring and Adding Mobile Printers to iPads
- Relinquishing mobile devices
- Troubleshooting mobile devices
- Upgrading agency iPhones/iPads and performing software updates
Technical Support:
- Identifying hardware and software solutions
- PC/Laptops Software and Hardware Installations and Configurations
- Image Creation and Deployment - PCs and Laptops
- Troubleshooting technical issues on IT Assets
- Inventory taking
- Providing support over the phone and in person
- AD and E-mail account creations, modifications, etc.
Customer Service:
- Explaining technical concepts to staff in easy-to-understand terms
- Listening to staff to understand and properly address the root of their problem
- Talking DCWP staff through a series of actions to resolve a problem
- Following up with DCWP staff to ensure the problem is resolved
- Maintaining a professional, friendly, demeanor

Qualifications
As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
