    Introduction

     

    We’re seeking a highly motivated, engaging, and charismatic critical thinker to drive marketing programming to reach the CIO, CMO, CHRO and Salesforce Trailblazers (developer) audiences for our joint go to market offerings. This individual must be comfortable making quick decisions in a fast-paced, results-oriented team and engaging with senior executives and communicating frequently to all key stakeholders.

    Your role and responsibilities

    This individual who takes on this role is a natural storyteller with product marketing and demand generation background. In this role, you will be responsible for articulating the point of view of audiences we serve and creating the value proposition for IBM’s and Salesforce joint products to grow IBM’s market share, supporting revenue growth for products that are core to IBM. You will lead cross-IBM campaigns and product-level marketing and communications efforts to support pipeline generation and new client acquisition for our joint offerings. You will collaborate with teams across geographies, including Marketing, Product Management, Sellers, and Business Partners.

     

    You will be responsible for driving the outcome of connecting differentiated POVs with the right buyers and experts, measured by new revenue and signings, retention rates, average customer value, market segment share, win loss rate, analyst ranking, and social influence. You will also be accountable for creating and executing full funnel demand plans in conjunction with Salesforce. Key products include Salesforce Agentforce, watsonx.data, Data Fabric, watsonx.orchestrate, and IBM Z.

    Your primary responsibilities include:

    Act as the market catalyst for IBM and Salesforce joint offerings, providing guiding views on key problems, competitors, and differentiators grounded in data. Drive revenue and signings for IBM.

     

    * Identify opportunities, distinctive competencies, and positioning our joint offerings.

    * Translate our joint offerings into marketing messages and compelling stories that influence analysts, customers, and partners.

    * Act as the launch linchpin that galvanizes internal and external support across all channels and drives demand for the offerings

    * Stay active in customer conversations at events or in the field and online

    * Own and nurture key business, product and marketing relationships across IBM and Salesforce.

    * Align with IBM sales, product, marketing, and communications teams to execute the Go-to-Market plans for top revenue-generating business priorities such as IBM Consulting, watsonx, and Red Hat Open Shift

    * Aligns and builds deep relationships with Ecosystem Managing Directors

    * Leverage data to build unique client journeys, by audience and industry and the supporting content.

    * Collaborates with geography marketing leads to align on the strategy, product messaging, content, and events

    * Creates an enablement playbook for digital sellers for joint offerings

    * Regularly reports marketing outcomes and learnings to key stakeholders

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * 7-10 years of Product Marketing and Demand experience in Product or B2B software.

    * A strategic thinker who can build and execute joint marketing business plans.

    * Exceptional communication, proven governance, and change management skills.

    * An innovative risk taker, who leverages data and market insight to guide teams.

    * Experience in leading a global team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

    * Interest in, Gen AI, hybrid cloud, data, analytics, CRM, marketing & sales platforms.

    * Agile and Client centric attitude.

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Previous marketing experience with AI, and Salesforce platforms.

    * Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies in regulated industries.

    * Experience developing audience strategies (e.g., understanding and prioritizing potential audiences based on key behaviors/characteristics).

    * Client experience design & measurement (e.g., using technology to measure and improve the customer experience and translate data into meaningful actions.
