As the CT Technical Assistant, you will be asked to assist CT technologists during procedures, performs errands, stocks supplies and transports patients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Answers the telephone in a courteous manner expressing a greeting to the caller and identifying self and the department.

+ Keeps Radiology Management informed of any unusual concerns, situations or conditions relative to staff, patients and physicians.

+ Prepares patient for CT exam. Pleasantly introduces oneself and confirms identification utilizing the 2 LGH patient identifiers (name and date of birth).

+ Explains examination procedure to patient and family if present.

+ Assists in the movement of patient to and from wheelchair.

+ Demonstrates the knowledge and special skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in radiology (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.)

+ Cleans room after exam has been completed changing sheet and pillow towel.

+ Maintains necessary inventory of supplies in each room.

+ Stocks supplies and notifies supervisor when items need to be reordered.

Requirements:

+ High School Graduate

+ Flexible team member with good communication skills. Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

+ Experienced in hospital or related setting
