Job Description
Job Summary:
Under general supervision/procedural control, this position is responsible for the purchase, merchandising, and return of all Saint Paul College general merchandise, as well as oversight of the Copy Center & Mail Room.
Job Duties:
+ Purchase all school supplies, apparel, gift/novelty items, food, beverages, personal care items, Metro Transit passes, course packet production and other general merchandise including kits and uniforms for academic courses.
+ Serve as Campus Store cashier.
+ Operate and maintain Copy Center and Mail Room.
+ Train and guide student and temporary employees in accordance with Saint Paul College policy and procedure.
+ Plan and organize seasonal, holiday, and other special events.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $21.90 - $29.65 hourly.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to a variety of customers over the phone, in person and via email;
+ Knowledge of building and uploading original content, documents, and/or webpages to websites;
+ Data entry skills sufficient to create database records and update entries in a timely manner;
+ Ability to develop, integrate, and implement work procedures for the department;
+ Ability to direct the work activities of state employees and student workers to ensure that standards, deadlines, and procedures/processes are met.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Two (2) years of college store experience;
+ Experience with retail POS systems (MBS preferable);
+ General merchandise purchasing in a campus store environment;
+ Copy Center and duplicating experience.
