    Your role

     

    Reporting to the Director, Site Strategic Programs,

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Serves as a technical resource supporting company objectives with respect to engineering design, process, and implementation at the direction of a Manager, Lead or Senior Engineer. Projects include but are not limited to: manufacturing systems, non-sterile filing systems, packaging systems, process piping, utility systems, new facility construction and upgrades, Serialization and other packaging control systems and applications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Interface and work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance personnel, as well as outside vendors and equipment manufacturers;

     

    Involvement with data flow diagrams/technical diagrams;

     

    Specify and order mechanical components, electrical controls, automation components, and instrumentation devices;

     

    Design mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems;

     

    Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested;

     

    Create and / or update drawings in AutoCAD;

     

    Effective team skills;

     

    Complete projects as designated by their Manager;

     

    Manage small Capital projects

     

    Your profile

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    Current Enrollment in Bachelor’s program or Master’s program;

    Must be in good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA;

     

    Coursework or related experience in their major field of study;

     

    Must be able to work full time during the semester (40 hours/week) for 6 months;

     

    Completed at least one previous co-op or internship (preferred)

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

    Solid analytical skills;

     

    CAD skills, AutoCAD preferred;

    SPECIFIC SKILLS:

    This position requires the ability to think in high level terms to develop engineering solutions for new processes. It also requires the ability to think in specific, detailed terms when problem solving for existing processes.

     

    Strong background in technical troubleshooting, problem solving.

     

    Detailed knowledge of equipment operation and validation requirements.

     

    Ability to work in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams

     

    Ability to specify, procure, oversee installation, and commission systems and processing equipment.

     

    Strong project management skills.

     

    Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical cGMP requirements and systems a plus.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENT:

    Traditional office environment, with frequent visits to other areas of the facility, including production areas, loading docks, and laboratories.

     

    Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

     

    Must wear safety glasses and other protective items as required.

     

    Sitting 75% of the day; standing or walking 25%.

     

    This position does not require travel

    Compensation range

    20.00 - 25.00 USD

    *The referenced compensation range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
