•** **About the Role

As the **Activity Coordinator** , you will lead our **Activities Department** in designing and delivering a robust therapeutic recreation program that meets the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents. You’ll create a calendar of engaging activities that spark **joy, connection, and meaning** in daily life.

You will:

• Develop and direct all aspects of the activities program

• Assess residents and create personalized and group activity plans

• Plan fun and inclusive events, programs, and community outings

• Post monthly calendars tailored to resident interests

• Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers

• Keep accurate documentation and track resident participation

• Partner with the interdisciplinary team to align with care plans

• Organize Resident Council meetings and integrate community-based programs

•** **Preferred Qualifications

We’re looking for a candidate who is passionate about enhancing lives and brings one or more of the following:

• **Certified Activities Director** (NCCAP)

OR

• Licensed **COTA** (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)

• Certified **CTRS** (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist)

• Eligible for certification through a recognized accrediting body

• **2+ years of experience** in recreation in a long-term care setting (1 year in therapeutic activities)

• **Completed** a state-approved training course

•** **Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or GED ( **Bachelor’s degree preferred** )

• Valid **Florida Driver’s License**

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with wheelchair mobility

• Willingness to work a **flexible schedule** , including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
