    Summary:

    The Personal Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating personal training programs for customers, promoting personal training services, establishing personal training book of business and other duties as assigned. Preferred Professional Certifications includes ACE, NSCA, ACSM, EXOS XPS, EXOS XFS, Gray Institute FAFS Fellow of Applied Functional Science, or Gray Institute CAFS Certification in Applied Functional Science; in addition to BLS within 90 days and BLS certifications. Team members in this position are required to go through all department technology and methodology training, and pass a skills test within 60 days of hire.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    Essential:

    * Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field

    **Credentials** :

    Essential:

    * Certification as a Personal Trainer from a NCCA-accredited fitness organization such as ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NASM.

    Non **Essential:**

    *Advanced degrees and certifications (e.g., ACSM Exercise Physiologist, ACSM Exercise is Medicine, ACE Medical Exercise Specialist, MedFit Network Medical Fitness Specialist)

    * Required - BLS (Basic Life Support) - within 90 days; And - AED (Defibrillator);

    Experience:

    Nonessential:

    * Health Fitness one year
