    Job Description:

    The Operations Team Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the area with particular emphasis on the management of the operations personnel, implementation of warehouse action plans, tracking/recording of hours and ensuring employee meetings are conducted.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Provide direct supervision to operations personnel to ensure efficiency and quality.

    + Monitor and enforce safety protocols ensuring a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

    + Coach and mentor the team to ensure they are well-trained in tools and processes.

    + Handle employee relations, such as performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary issues.

    + Manage timekeeping, attendance, and vacation schedules to ensure smooth operations and optimal workforce availability.

    + Analyze operational data to help identify areas of improvement and collaborate with other departments

    + Ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the department to meet standards.

    + Provide training and technical assistance in other departments.

    + Match the skill and background of personnel to work required.

    + Assist in developing a program to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness.

     

    May be involved in various projects and cross training in other areas/responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

    • Prior success in a lead/supervisory role preferred, including organizing and prioritizing work, and

     

    utilizing sound judgment.

     

    • Previous experience utilizing independent decision-making.

    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

    • Competent use of AS400/Microsoft Office (email), basic computer skills

    • Must have the ability to motivate staff and handle a variety of both personnel and technical issues on an

     

    ongoing basis.

     

    • Ability to handle and diffuse stressful situations.

    • Excellent overall customer service skills.
