We integrate across a diverse set of teams and tools to ensure public cloud security equivalency with on-premises security capabilities, methods, and processes for all cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and workloads. The **Cloud & SaaS Security Program Manager** will report directly to the Vice President of Cloud & SaaS Security and will collaboratively support the end-to-end functions required to secure the American Express cloud journey, including both our private/public cloud, SaaS security and Acquisition Security Integration. The Program Manager will partner with Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, other Technology partners, and all TRIS domains to help support secure adoption, governance, compliance, and operations using a standardized risk-based model. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall success of the Cloud Security program by driving executive reporting, communications, finances, resource management, and the delivery of special projects. This position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work vs. strategic roadmap items; work on multiple initiatives simultaneously; establish and maintain an outward looking view on new and evolving technologies; and an ability to mature and operate business critical, end-to-end processes and solutions – while ensuring a great colleague user experience. You will work closely with other Information Security departments, architecture and the Enterprise Cloud team, as well as external cloud providers on requirements, design, integration and delivery of these solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Independently manage special projects/ activities and directly manage certain day-to-day issues on behalf of the VP of the Technology Risk team
+ Provides and consolidates inputs for leadership updates on delivery status and key decisions needed to support project delivery
+ Create comprehensive executive level presentations
+ Deliver a broad range of communications including technology strategy updates, Town Hall presentations, and employee communications
+ Manage business planning, operational processes & key achievements (e.g., Leadership meetings, PMP process, cost center management, and goal setting metrics)
+ Drive organizational optimization and business process improvement
+ Act as a central point of contact for urgent business issues
+ Balance the management of day-to-day business priorities along with long-term strategic deliverables
+ Collaborate with the various constituencies across the Company to accomplish tasks on behalf of the VP and their leaders
+ Mentor and coach employees to assist them in solving business challenges
+ Execute operational risk activities such as conducting assessments with the business, mapping of processes, identifying, defining and testing risk controls
+ Engage and Coordinate audit related activities by keeping abreast of Regulatory changes and requirements
+ Support planning and operations (e.g. annual budget and investment planning, risk and finance reviews, weekly staff meetings)
+ Build strong working relationships across the organization and key partners to enhance collaboration and problem solving, and to generate solutions to deliver results.
Required Skills/Experience
+ 4 years of experience in Information Security Roles
+ Experience with Cloud Control Matrix and CIS benchmarks for gap assessment
+ Broad understanding of all IS disciplines including, Governance, Cyber Threat, Identity and Access, Infrastructure, Endpoint, Vulnerability, Data Protection, Operations, Application, Incident Response.
+ Understanding of Information Security technology and platform delivery with experience in planning and execution of security projects.
+ Understanding of Cloud Fundamentals, including containers, software-defined networks, high availability design, multi-cloud, and serverless compute.
+ Demonstrated experience in Agile environments, application design, software development, and testing.
Educational Requirement:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
+ Information Security Certification required, CISM or similar.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
