Description:
**Status:** Full Time
What you will need:
+ Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan, BSN required.
+ Certified within 2 years of employment at Trinity Health as RNFA.
+ Completion of a (A.O.R.N. approved) course in RN first assisting, with current CNOR status or CNOR eligible.
+ Proficient in perioperative nursing practice as both scrub and circulator for a minimum of 5 years.
+ Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
What you will do:
+ Complete perioperative patient assessment, assist with preparation and administration of medications perioperatively as directed by surgeon.
+ Provides hemostasis and exposure of operative site through appropriate use of instruments, equipment and techniques.
+ Performs dissection and handles tissue as instructed by surgeon.
+ Performs wound closure as directed by surgeon.
+ Places sutures and drains as directed by surgeon.
+ Ensures chart is thorough and complete.
+ Assumes the responsibility for the collection of patient health data.
