    Summary:

    The Director of Plant Operations and Environmental Services (EVS) plans, organizes, develops and leads the overall operation of the Maintenance and EVS Departments in accordance with current Federal, State and Local regulations, as well as Catholic Health policies, to assure that The McAuley Residence is maintained in a clean, safe and efficient manner. Leads the safety and emergency management programs for the facility. Participates in the budgeting process. Oversees major projects and renovations. Is a member of the facility's management team.

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION

    + High School Graduate

    + AAS Degree preferred

    + Stationary Engineer license preferred

    EXPERIENCE

    + Five (5) years supervisory experience in a long-term care, sub-acute, assisted living or senior housing facility preferred

     

    Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity required, preferably in a long term care facility

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

    + Must possess a valid driver's license

    + Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Record Background Check policy, HR-105-EMP

    + Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non verbal communication

    + Must possess a working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry skills and have the ability to read and interpret blue prints

    + Knowledge in Federal, State and local building codes and safety regulations

    + Possess thorough knowledge of codes governing the operation of the facility (Health Dept, OSHA, Life Safety, etc.)

    + Ability to use various hands and power tools

    + Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Prolong sitting, standing, walking, heavy lifting, carrying

     

    Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials subject to environmental temperature extremes
