The full-service Trumbull Marriott Shelton is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager. This role will be pivotal to our hotel leadership and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our establishment's food and beverage operations. This position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in casual dining and food service management who can lead a team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences while ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a staff training and development commitment.

Duties:

Lead and manage all food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service.

Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and kitchen operations.

Collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative menus that reflect current trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Monitor inventory levels, manage purchasing, and ensure health and safety regulations compliance.

Foster a positive work environment encouraging teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among staff members.

Analyze financial performance metrics to drive profitability and operational improvements.

Engage with guests to gather feedback on their dining experience and make necessary adjustments to enhance satisfaction.

Experience:

A full-service hotel food and beverage manager experience is required.

Proven experience in food service management within the casual dining sector.

Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully managing teams in a restaurant or culinary environment.

Demonstrated expertise in training development and staff training initiatives.

Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and culinary trends.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both staff and guests.
