Job Description

A Fortune 50 client is seeking a hands-on Application Architect to join their come join their project team as they look to enhance an existing application in an effort to bring down overall equipment spend. Currently this application is tracking inventory in multiple different systems so we are looking to bring in an Application Architect who can diagram all our software flows, then turn those into epics and user stories. Someone who understands how tokens (authentication, session, access, and state tokens) are passed between APIs. You will be working closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Full Stack development team to help implement user stories that you create. The overall project is a rewrite of 20+ applications into one inventory management platform using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, Angular 19, Azure, AKS, and MySQL. This role is 100% remote, however candidates either in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or Atlanta area would be preferred.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of relevant software development experience as a Full stack software engineer (Java, Microservices, Angular)

3+ years of strong hands-on experience in developing multiple micro services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Core, REST API

1+ years of strong hands-on experience in application architecture

Ability to design software flows and turn them into user stories

Understanding of how different applications interact down to token level (i.e. how the token is passed, etc.) within distributed systems

Lead the team to rapidly develop & deploy cloud-scale solutions and monitor and continuously improve the quality of the systems you work on

In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices

Strong understanding of security, performance, and compliance requirements in application

Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and innovative solutions.

Excellent PowerPoint preparation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience with data modeling, database design (SQL and NoSQL), and integration patterns

Experience in enterprise application integration and working with APIs (RESTful, GraphQL), and resilient workflow management frameworks

Any experience working with inventory management applications

Any prior experience working at AT&T or other Telecom companies null
