Responsibilities

Ascension St. Vincent is looking for a orthopedic surgeon for our practices in Salem and North Vernon. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent Salem to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

+ Job details - general orthopedic surgeon for clinic and hospital cases

+ Work schedule - Monday - Friday; no call; no holidays; no weekends

+ Locations to cover - Ascension St. Vincent Salem and Ascension St. Vincent Jennings Hospital /Clinics. Located in Salem, Indiana & North Vernon, Indiana

+ Hospitals to cover - There is no on call. This would be rounding on your own patients. Ascension St. Vincent Salem and Ascension St. Vincent Jennings Hospital / Clinics.

+ Call schedule: None / no call

+ Compensation is reviewed with draft contracts after successful completion of interviews / onsite visits. The structure is a salary model with a productivity bonus available.

+ Clinic locations surgery centers - Salem, Indiana & North Vernon, Indiana

+ Critical Access Hospital

+ Team members: 1 general Ortho in Salem; currently Jennings is supported by an outside group.

+ Salem, Indiana and North Vernon, Indiana are both rural small towns. North Vernon is equal distance from Indianapolis, Louisville and Cincinnati. Salem is approximately 45 minutes from Louisville.

Responsibilities:

+ Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
