Salary: Salary depends on experience (DOE); $90,000 to DOE

Primary Duties: Provide legal advice and representation for the Department of Health & Welfare, including at administrative proceedings, and occasionally on appeal in district court. Areas of practice include advice and counsel to DHW related to Licensing and Certification Division, Medicaid Program Integrity Unit, and Welfare Fraud. This position works closely with other DAGs in the HHS Division. Other duties may include limited litigation; contract review and drafting; legislative analysis; administrative rule drafting and analysis; all aspects of administrative actions that could potentially include drafting orders; appeals of administrative orders; review of department policies for legal compliance; advice on substantive legal issues for the department staff assigned and public records law; conduct training for co-workers and department staff; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Member Idaho State Bar; exhibit strong research, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum two years of legal experience; Medicaid and/or health care industry knowledge.
