Job Description Summary
As the leader in the software engineering group, you will apply your knowledge of management, agile development methodologies, best practices and proven processes to drive remote teams to deliver a quality software product with superb quality.
Responsible for providing technical leadership in a fast paced and agile development environment. Understand product vision and drive increased efficiency across the teams with the highest level of quality focus. Triage day-to-day product and support issues, in real-time, drive clear priorities to the teams and liaise with customers and internal business teams in a high pressure environment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
+ Manage a world class software engineering team to consistently deliver customer requirements across complex software products.
+ Focus on engineering discipline and quality of the delivered product.
+ Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with strategic partners. Ensure clear communication and alignment of expectations and objectives.
+ Coordinate offshore and onshore engineering teams supporting customer enhancements, and defect resolution, and work with business partners to delight customers.
+ Accept Product releases as supportable and suitable for deployment updates to customers on the Distribution release train.
+ Arbitrate Project demands and Product strategy to determine appropriate actions for customer support.
+ Actively participate as a senior leader of the Distribution Engineering team.
+ Actively present leadership updates to GE executive sponsors and customers.
+ Provide day to day work direction for team members engaged in projects and delivery.
+ Drive a continuous learning culture to help guide continuous improvements providing leadership on Lean/Agile principles and development practices.
Education Qualification
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 8 years of experience
Desired Characteristics
• Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles
• Through working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and best practices
• Understanding of full stack platform concepts and technologies
Knowledge and experience of the Electrical Distribution domain.
• Good understanding of Platform Integration strategies by developing applications and framework.
• Demonstrates mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics in Agile teams. Guides new teams to adopt Agile, troubleshoots adoption efforts, and guide continuous improvement. Provides training on Lean / Agile. Drives elimination of inefficiencies in coding process. Teaches XP practices to others. Actively embraces new methods and practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Thorough understanding of Cloud Technologies and complex Platform Integrated Systems. Capable of designing technical implementation plans around integrating Platform systems.

• Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends.
• Creates a culture of customer focus and high performance to drive innovation. Continuous engagement with focus on GE strategy for customer satisfaction

• Establishes framework for a culture of successful collaboration by defining a common understanding of who has decision rights and accountability, and how collaboration and transparency are rewarded
• Establishes vision, Identifies and champions internal/external best practices, tools, and ideas to improve execution and quality.

• Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making. Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning
• Build a team of highly technical engineers to implement and integrate applications.

• Take on technical challenges and direct the team to achieve a high level of understanding of the platform and industrial use cases.
Additional Information
The base pay range for this position is 167,440.00 - 209,300.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 20% Variable Incentive Bonus. This posting is expected to close on July 1, 2025.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
