Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Nesconset, New York. This Contract-to-permanent PART TIME position offers an excellent opportunity to manage key financial processes and contribute to the organization’s success. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of accounts receivable, from cash posting to collections, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and cash posting.

• Prepare and analyze aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collections.

• Handle collections by communicating with clients to resolve overdue payments and discrepancies.

• Post daily cash receipts and ensure proper allocation to customer accounts.

• Manage deductions and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

• Process and track freight claims for incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all financial transactions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues and discrepancies.

• Support month-end closing activities by providing accurate accounts receivable data.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, including cash posting and collections.

• Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing aging reports.

• Ability to manage deductions and reconcile financial discrepancies.

• Familiarity with processing freight claims and handling shipment-related financial activities.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
