Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team in Richboro, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer ledger management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger reporting, variance analysis, and municipal accounting procedures, combined with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor inquiries, data maintenance, and ensuring timely approvals and payments.

• Verify accuracy of pricing, purchase orders, and merchandise receipts to support financial accuracy.

• Assist the Director of Finance with accounts receivable aging and reporting tasks.

• Prepare and present monthly requisition reports to Authority Board Members.

• Provide payroll backup support for the Director of Finance as needed.

• Ensure compliance with municipal accounting standards and regulations.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication and support.

• Guide customers in making electronic payments and address payment-related inquiries.

• Process utility payments received at the office or by mail, as required.

• Serve as a backup for front office operations when necessary. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and resolve inquiries effectively.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and journal entries.

• Ability to perform accurate data analysis and maintain compliance with accounting regulations.
