Accounts Payable Specialist - manufacturing business

Robert Half has partnered again with a long-standing manufacturing industry client in their search of an Accounts Payable professional to join their accounting department. The Accounts Payable Specialist will process up to 150 invoices on a weekly basis as well as up to 50 checks and 50 ACH payments weekly. Ideal candidates will have at least a few years of accounts payable experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry (not required), and have worked in an ERP software.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review vendor invoices in collaboration with the purchasing department to ensure accurate recording in accounting systems.

• Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

• Address and resolve inquiries from vendors and internal teams in a thorough and efficient manner.

• Reconcile accounts payable balances to maintain accurate financial records.

• Ensure all accounts payable activities adhere to established financial policies and procedures.

• Generate financial reports related to accounts payable processes.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Our client offers a very strong health insurance and benefit package including a 401k match, vacation and sick time, and paid holidays. The starting salary will depend on experience but they have a range of $50-60k.

Desired Experience:

• 3+ years of AP experience

• Proficiency in processing invoices, coding, and check runs.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an ERP software

• Familiarity with accounts payable practices in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
