    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client’s private investment company on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a stable, small-office environment with a respected family office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing end-to-end accounting operations, with a focus on discretion, accuracy, and reliability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Full-cycle bookkeeping, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting

    + Process payroll in QuickBooks for two corporate entities and household staff

    + Coordinate employee health insurance with outside agents

    + Manage weekly A/P cycles for multiple entities and scheduled contract labor payments

    + Handle receivables and prepare bank deposits as needed

    + Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and manage vendor files including W-9 collection

    + Perform cash management across 35–40 bank accounts; ensure appropriate fund transfers

    + Conduct monthly bank reconciliations

    + Review and manage annual property tax appraisals and payments for multiple properties

    + Track expenses and support capital expenditure (CapEx) reporting

    + Prepare and file year-end 1099s for multiple entities

    + Maintain Excel-based schedules for investments, liabilities, and insurance policies

    + Provide administrative backup support (phones, mail, packages, filing) as needed

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping/accounting experience

    + Family office experience is a plus

    + Notary Public (or willingness to obtain)

    + Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

    + Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail

    + Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and loyalty

    + Background check required
