Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, and supporting general accounting operations. Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices each month with accuracy and efficiency.

• Ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers while maintaining proper documentation and records.

• Resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices in a timely manner.

• Track and manage purchase orders outside of traditional AP systems, utilizing Excel for accurate record-keeping.

• Record and reconcile petty cash transactions, ensuring all entries are correct and funds are used appropriately.

• Perform periodic petty cash reconciliations and assist in resolving any identified discrepancies.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records to support accounting operations.

• Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed to ensure smooth financial processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

• Strong experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.

• Familiarity with accrual accounting and ACH payment methods.

• Advanced Excel skills, particularly for purchase order tracking and data management.

• Ability to code accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills for resolving discrepancies.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.
