    Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact at a dynamic company rooted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to join their team and take charge of critical accounting functions with precision and care.

    Areas of Responsibility:

    As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for:

    + Pensions and 401-K Administration: Oversee employee retirement plans, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

    + Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Taxes: Manage and file state and local tax obligations with accuracy.

    + Annual Tax Returns: Prepare and oversee yearly tax filings in compliance with applicable regulations.

    + Oversight of BIC, Delaware Entities, and Dividends: Provide comprehensive financial oversight and reporting.

    + ACCPAC/Sage Accounting System: Utilize this system to maintain seamless accounting operations.

    + Pittsburgh Invoices: Process and manage local invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

    + Consolidation of Financial Results: Compile financial results for Halco and create comprehensive reports.

    + Quarterly Reporting to Board: Prepare detailed quarterly financial reports for presentation to the board.

    + Treasury Functions: Manage treasury operations to optimize cash flow and financial strategy

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    To succeed in this role:

    + CPA Preferred: A CPA designation is desirable but not mandatory.

    + Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities effectively is essential.

    + 3-5+ Years of Experience: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of accounting/tax experience, especially with pensions, tax filings, and treasury operations.

    + Public Accounting Background: Experience in audit and tax functions within a public accounting framework is a plus.

    + Technical Know-How: Expertise in ACCPAC/Sage accounting systems is highly preferred.
