Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Redondo Beach, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing accounts payable processes, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience working with high transaction volumes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle accounts payable, handling between 50 to 220 invoices weekly with accuracy and efficiency.

• Contribute to month-end close activities, including preparing AP accruals, reconciling accounts, and supporting general ledger tasks.

• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.

• Analyze financial statements and understand the impact of accounts payable on general ledger accounts.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms to manage financial data.

• Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy in a high-volume transaction environment.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

• Provide insights and support for financial reporting and audits as needed.

• Stay updated on best practices in accounting, particularly in the travel, hospitality, or service industries if applicable. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Proven experience in full-cycle accounts payable and processing high volumes of invoices.

• Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and journal entry preparation.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar tools.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial records.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in the travel, hospitality, or service industries is a plus but not mandatory.
