Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join a reputable public accounting firm in Newton, Massachusetts. This role involves providing strategic tax and consulting services to pass-through entities, including S-corporations and partnerships, as well as managing the personal tax needs of business owners. The ideal candidate will excel in client engagement, team leadership, and delivering impactful tax planning and compliance solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee tax planning, preparation, and research for S-corporations, partnerships, and individual tax returns of business owners.
• Manage client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.
• Review and supervise the work of less experienced team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize client outcomes and minimize liabilities.
• Prepare written tax advice and responses to client inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Maintain strong client relationships by addressing expectations and delivering exceptional service.
• Monitor and manage project budgeting, staffing, and billing processes.
• Perform research on complex tax issues and provide concise analyses and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for improving processes and introducing innovative solutions for clients and the firm. Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management, preferably in public accounting.
• Proficiency in tax compliance and research tools, including ATX Tax Software, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and other documentation tools.
• Expertise in annual income tax provisions and auditing processes.
• Exceptional analytical skills to identify tax implications and recommend strategic solutions.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver timely, accurate advice.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
