Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Plano, TX. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting functions to contribute to a dynamic financial environment. The ideal candidate will support various accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.

• Utilize accounting software systems to organize and analyze financial data effectively.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation for audits and reviews.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Handle collections processes by following up on outstanding payments and resolving issues promptly.

• Support ERP system operations by entering, updating, and verifying financial data.

• Conduct periodic reviews of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

• Provide administrative support for accounting projects, including data entry and documentation management.

• Work closely with internal departments to streamline accounting operations and improve workflows.

Requirements • Proficiency with accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and financial tools.

• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and auditing principles.

• Familiarity with tools such as ADP, CaseWare, and Concur is highly preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

• A background in financial services or a related field is a plus.
