Description

We are looking for a dedicated Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing and accounts receivable functions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. If you have a strong background in accounting, particularly in AP, AR and billing, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply. This is a contract position that is part-time (2-3 days onsite).

Responsibilities:

• Supporting Accounting Manager with misc. accounting tasks.

• Oversee AP/AR processes, including generating invoices, managing collections, and reconciling customer accounts.

• Record and post payments to the Property Management System (Opera) in a timely and accurate manner.

• Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

• Address client billing inquiries with professionalism and provide exceptional customer service.

• Process daily cash receipts and ensure timely deposits to the bank.

• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function.

• Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed to support the department's goals.

Requirements

• Experience in hospitality highly preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on billing and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in Opera and Oracle accounting software.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
