    Job Summary:

    Belcan is seeking a results-driven Group Leader to oversee project execution and team leadership within our manufacturing & Quality Engineering business unit. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary customer interface, manage a team of engineers, and ensure the successful delivery of quality and manufacturing engineering services across multiple programs.

     

    This role blends technical oversight with team development, project management, and customer relationship building. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Lead project execution from kickoff to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to spec

    * Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers; oversee hiring and staff development

    * Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relationships, onboarding, and satisfaction

    * Identify and pursue new project opportunities; contribute to business development and proposal generation

    * Provide technical guidance in manufacturing and/or quality engineering disciplines

    * Oversee contract compliance, scope definition, and funding reviews

    * Track and report project performance against KPIs (cost, schedule, quality, margins)

    * Conduct performance reviews, approve time entries, and execute day-to-day management tasks

    * Promote continuous improvement and contribute to the strategic growth of the delivery center

    Required Qualifications:

    * Bachelor"s degree (engineering or technical discipline strongly preferred)

    * 5+ years of relevant leadership experience

    * 10+ years of exposure to manufacturing and quality engineering environments

    * Strong understanding of engineering services delivery, client interfacing, and project controls

    * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present at all levels

    * Computer Savvy with proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    * Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

    * U.S. Citizenship required due to project compliance

    * Willingness to travel occasionally (<25%)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Experience in the aerospace and defense industries

    * Experience in a role such as Project Manager, Program Manager, or Operations Manager

    * Prior involvement in proposal development or strategic planning

    * Exposure to AS9100, ISO standards, or regulated engineering environments

    * Familiarity with metrics-driven project performance reporting

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $90,000-115,000/yearly.
