Overview:

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is currently hiring for a full-time Residence Manager to supervise and oversee the overall operation of a community-based residence for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The community residence is located in Larchmont, NY.

The salary range for this 40 hour per week position is $62,000 - $65,000.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

+ Providing Person Centered Supports as outlined in the NYS DSP Code of Ethics

+ Supervising and ensuring Individual Service plans and services are provided

+ Promoting and practicing justice, fairness, and equity for the people you support and the community as a whole that affirm the human rights, civil rights, and responsibilities of the people we support.

+ Interviewing potential new employees and making recommendations for hiring.

+ Providing leadership, supervision, training and evaluation of all staff assigned to the residence.

+ Responsible to act as liaison with family members, the community, neighborhood and general public.

+ Leading IDT Team and facilitating/attending and being active member of all staff meetings, family meetings, and training sessions.

+ Attending all annual and quarterly review meetings for individuals in the residence.

+ Other duties as required.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

+ Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and health care conditions.

+ Knowledge of supervisory, leadership and administrative practices that promote team work and development of staff.

+ Able to pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training that includes but is not limited to Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Driving the Van, and Mandatory Training as identified by OPWDD.

+ BA degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.

+ 2 years of supervisory experience.

+ 3 years of experience working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

+ Valid Driver’s License is a must.

+ Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

+ Able to work a flexible schedule and maintain on-call coverage.
