Description
We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will oversee office operations, provide administrative support to leadership, and play a key role in onboarding new employees. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly handle multiple responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
• Serve as a point of contact for leadership, providing administrative assistance and support as needed.
• Coordinate onboarding for new employees, including setting up office spaces, technology, and supplies.
• Oversee office supply inventory, placing orders and maintaining stock levels as required.
• Collaborate with HR to support various administrative functions related to employee onboarding and office management.
• Provide support to sales, distribution, and underwriting teams for operational needs.
• Cross-train with office managers in other markets to ensure consistency across regions.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and ServiceNow to handle operational tasks effectively.
• Assist in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general accounting functions.
• Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks with a "how can I help" attitude.
Requirements • At least 3-5 years of experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and other office management tools.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding processes and support HR functions.
• Experience with accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, is preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, Concur, and general office software is a plus.
