    Link Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) to join our team at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

     

    + Must be a US Citizen

    + DoD Secret Clearance required

    + Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

     

    Our Linux System Administrator (Senior-Level) will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows-based workstations and services in compliance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in White Sands Missile Range, NM.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.

    + Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.

    + Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.

    + Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.

    + Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.

    + Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

    + Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements.

    + Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.

    + Must be a US Citizen.

    + Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.

    + MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with two (2+) additional years of experience.

    + Eight (8+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.

    + IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).

    + Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification.

    + Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements.

    Preferred:

    + Active Secret Clearance.

    + Supervisory or lead position experience.

    + Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification

    + Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

    + Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.

    + Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

    + A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.

    + Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

    + Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

    + Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
