A well-established supplier in the boating and RV manufacturing industry is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role is critical in maintaining smooth cash flow operations during a team member’s medical leave. The specialist will focus on cash application processes, reconciliations, and light B2B collections, primarily through email. The role involves reviewing and working through an aging report of 500 accounts (with 100–150 typically past due), applying payments, matching vendor credits and debits, and ensuring accurate account maintenance. Collections here are less aggressive and more customer service–oriented, requiring clear, professional email communication to request payments or invoice copies.

This is a full-time, on-site role (Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) with ASAP start availability. This role pays $21/hr. The team is currently absorbing extra workload and is looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with high volumes of data. Proficiency in Excel is a plus—especially with pivot tables—but trainable candidates with a strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn are welcome. Must-Have Experience & Skills:

+ Strong cash applications experience, including applying payments and matching credits/debits

+ B2B collections experience (email-based; customer service-oriented approach)

+ Account reconciliations and evaluating aging reports

+ Comfortable navigating and working in Excel (pivot tables are a plus)

+ Experience managing outstanding invoices and payment follow-ups via email

+ Detail-oriented and able to handle a high volume of accounts (100–150 past due out of 500 total)

+ Ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments and credits

+ Excellent written communication and follow-up skills with customers

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Epic and CyberSource.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable (AR) processes and billing functions.

• Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions.

• Skilled in data processing and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

• Ability to audit and reconcile cash applications effectively.

• Knowledge of Epic systems and their application in financial operations.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
