Description
Robert Half's client is a well-established construction company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
+ Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
+ Manage payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
+ Track project costs and provide relevant financial information to project managers.
+ Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
+ Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
+ Maintain organized and complete financial records and documentation.
+ Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
+ Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal team members regarding financial matters.
+ Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the construction industry.
+ Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
+ Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
