Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access ER Supervisor to oversee and enhance the daily operations of the admitting department for a healthcare facility in Henderson, Nevada. This long-term contract position involves supervising a team of registrars and team leads, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining high-quality standards in patient admissions. The role also requires active engagement with team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise a team of 25 registrars and 4 team leads, managing daily operations in the emergency department.
• Oversee the admission and registration processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures.
• Analyze workflows and productivity metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Serve as a liaison for addressing client concerns and resolving operational issues effectively.
• Assist in hiring, training, and coaching staff members to ensure team competency and alignment with organizational goals.
• Schedule and conduct regular team meetings to communicate performance goals, policies, and departmental updates.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and the admitting director to ensure seamless department operations.
• Utilize operational, financial, and quality assurance reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure adherence to business casual attire policies. Requirements
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Occasional weekends required)
Qualifications:
+ HS Diploma or GED required
+ Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
+ At least 2 years of experience in admitting, registration, or medical front office operations
+ Strong understanding of the admitting process, healthcare insurance terminology, and registration workflows
+ Proficient in using computer systems and applications; familiarity with EPIC or similar EHR systems a plus
+ Solid math and analytical skills to evaluate productivity and performance data
+ Experience working with managed care plans, federal/state/local insurance agencies
+ Professional appearance and behavior required; business casual attire
