    Description

    We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sales Tax Specialist in the retail industry, based in Tempe, Arizona 85284. In this role, you will be entrusted with processing sales tax, handling returns, and maintaining meticulous records. You will also be tasked with analyzing accounting formulas and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the processing of sales tax and returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance

    • Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and perform accounting functions

    • Review and analyze accounting formulas, ensuring understanding and appropriate application

    • Collaborate with outsourced teams to review returns, ensuring diligence and accuracy

    • Ensure meticulous reconciliation of accounts, applying strong mathematical skills

    • Conduct auditing tasks to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

    • Manage billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

    Requirements

    + Sales tax experience is a plus.

    + Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

    + Ability to perform Accounting Functions is needed.

    + Proficiency with Excel formulas (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
