Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a wonderful small law firm in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will excel in managing legal documentation, maintaining case files, and ensuring seamless communication throughout the legal process.

• Prepare and file a variety of legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and court forms.

• Assist attorneys with organizing and preparing materials for hearings, mediations, and trials.

• Maintain comprehensive and well-organized case files while tracking key deadlines.

• Communicate effectively with clients to collect necessary information and provide status updates.

• Handle incoming calls with professionalism, ensuring accurate messages are relayed to the appropriate attorney.

• Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other external parties to facilitate smooth case management.

• Conduct legal research and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

• Support billing and timekeeping processes to ensure accurate record-keeping and invoicing.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal, family law preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of legal procedures, documentation, and court systems.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and third parties.

• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to summarize findings accurately.

• Familiarity with billing and timekeeping processes.

• Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
