• Hybrid Criminal Defense Attorney

    Description

    We are looking for an experienced and dedicated 3+ year Criminal Defense Attorney to join our law firm client's team in the Gilbert / Chandler, Arizona area. This role involves managing a variety of defense cases, primarily misdemeanors, while working in a hybrid environment.     Responsibilities:

    • Represent clients in criminal defense cases, focusing primarily on misdemeanors.

    • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and other necessary documentation.

    • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.

    • Appear in court to advocate on behalf of clients during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective defense strategies and case plans.

    • Manage case files efficiently using document and case management software.

    • Handle client complaints and claims with professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.

    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

    • Stay updated on the latest developments in criminal law to provide informed legal representation.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing criminal law, with a focus on defense cases. Former prosecutors are encouraged to apply.

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Arizona.

    • Proficiency in legal tools such as case management software, and document management systems.

    • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

    • Proven ability to handle a variety of cases effectively, including misdemeanor cases.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting cases in court.

    • Familiarity with civil litigation and briefing processes is a plus.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail.
