Head Start Recruiting & Outreach Coordinator Head Start (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/home-based-and-preschool-programs) is seeking caring and resourceful individuals to work closely with families to promote their preschooler’s overall development and prepare them for kindergarten and life beyond school. The Head Start Recruiting & Outreach Coordinator is the face of Head Start in the community. As Recruiting & Outreach Coordinator, you will:

+ Establish and maintain community partnerships and collaborations that support enrollment and services for families

+ Promote full enrollment in the program by completing recruitments, conducting outreach, door knocking, and promoting the program in the community

+ Identify, coordinate and attend outreach events that support Head Start's full enrollment initiative

+ Provide education on outreach events, enrollment initiatives and progress at Head Start parent meetings

This position is located at our main office in Oneonta, is a year-round position, and is given access to an agency vehicle/mileage reimbursement for travel within Otsego County. Occasional evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Associates degree in human services, social work, family services, counseling or related field; a Family Development credential (generally within 18 months of hire); and one year of related experience in human services; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license and reliable vehicle. + Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements

+ Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)
