    Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

     

    The role is based primarily on-site at the U.S. Embassy in Wellington, with selective visits to the nearby Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR). You’ll be working in a secure, collaborative, and mission-focused environment, ensuring U.S. facilities meet the highest standards of safety, function, and compliance.

     

    Contract Duration: 12 Months (50 hours/week, with up to 10 hours/week approved overtime)

    Responsibilities:

    + Serve as the on-site Construction Manager and primary liaison between the OBO Construction Executive (CE) in Washington, DC and the project site team.

    + Coordinate project execution in compliance with U.S. and host country codes, safety regulations, and Department of State protocols.

    + Review contractor work for quality, cost, schedule adherence, and compliance with contract requirements.

    + Interpret design and construction documents, provide guidance to on-site personnel, and support the PD in resolving technical and administrative issues.

    + Track submittals, RFIs, contractor progress, and ensure timely response and documentation.

    + Conduct field inspections, monitor quality control efforts, and verify test results.

    + Evaluate proposed contractor changes, develop Statements of Work (SOWs), and create Independent Government Estimates (IGEs).

    + Prepare monthly construction progress reports and maintain comprehensive daily construction logs.

    + Participate in meetings, represent OBO interests, and ensure all construction activities are documented, licensed, and compliant.

    Qualifications:

    + Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited U.S. university.

    + Minimum 7 years of experience on construction projects of similar scope and value (design office experience not counted).

    + Overseas construction experience is preferred.

    + Professional Engineering (PE) License may substitute for the degree; PE registration is preferred.

    + Must hold at minimum a Final Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

    + Strong knowledge of International Building Codes, construction safety standards (e.g., EM 385-1-1, OSHA), and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Demonstrated experience with contractor submittals, RFI responses, engineering evaluations, and government estimates.

    + Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
