The Nutrition Aide stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and procedures.

Assists with customer-facing duties as assigned, including tray delivery and catering special events.

Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Processes dietary orders and keeps daily diet sheet current. Assures patients have the appropriate menu completed and follow up on questionable food choices. Has basic knowledge of therapeutic diets and can located additional information when needed for clarification.

Accurately assembles trays in a neat and timely fashion. Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas, and catering services.

Restocks patient serving area and assists in proper storage of food deliveries.

Assists cooks and lead cook, under their direction, with prepping for employee and patient meals.

Minimum education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum work experience

Previous food service experience preferred.

NM Food Handler's Card must be obtained within thirty (30) days from hire.
