Examples of Duties
+ Public Water Quality Facility Maintenance – general maintenance of water quality & detention facilities including fence repair, sediment removal an, invasive vegetation removal, irrigation repair.
+ Operates a variety of hand and power tools and equipment related to work assignment as instructed.
+ Observes safe work methods and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
+ Operates city vehicles and a variety of light and medium, equipment related to the maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure, facilities, and systems within the functional area of assignment.
+ Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition, including securing equipment at the close of the workday.
+ Waterway Maintenance – performing maintenance activities within streams, creeks riparian areas.
+ Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
+ Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade AND
+ One (1) year of experience in construction, repair, operation, and maintenance of streets, underground utilities, routine service of light and heavy vehicles and other power driven equipment, or parks and landscape.

Additional Information:
The successful candidate will pass a physical capacities test designed to evaluate ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job.
Schedule: Generally, working days are Monday through Thursday one week (9-hour days) and Monday through Friday (9-hour days Monday through Thursday and an 8-hour day on Friday) the next week. This schedule provides 3-day weekends every other weekend.
