Schedule Details:General working hours are day shifts Monday – Friday. Some evening and weekend availability is required.

Annual Salary:$68,640
General Summary of the Position:
Responsible for overall performance of HRDC transportation initiatives. Implements policy and procedures. Ensures compliance with various contract requirements. Develops public and private partnerships to promote transportation services, strategic goals, and programming for Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas. Provides supervision and guidance for Galavan staff. Acts as a liaison between HRDC and other partner organizations. Develops and maintains funding for the program. Ensures compliance with various funding source requirements and program policies and procedures. Assures maintenance of transportation facilities and equipment.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision:Manage day-to-day Galavan operations; personnel management; cover shifts as necessary; manage ADA Policy and Procedures; manage Drug and Alcohol Program; participates in all phases of employee recruitment, hiring, training, and corrective actions as needed; coordinate ongoing/recurring staff training.
Program Responsibilities:Represent HRDC by maintaining a positive, professional relationship with community and partners; collaborate to meet transportation needs; promote effective communication, cooperation, and collaborative planning with staff, customers, and others representing a wide variety of organizations, boards, agencies, and professions; attend meetings as appropriate and directed; availability to cover driver duties in the case of urgent situations.
Eligibility & Compliance:Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; prepare accurate monthly statistics and reports; provide direction to staff regarding implementation of policies and procedures; ensure specialized industry guidelines/standards are followed.
Budget & Fiscal Responsibility:Prepare and monitor annual budget; prepare and submit grants and other funding requests; prepare/submit allowable program expenses, cash receipts, grant reimbursements/reconciliations, cost projections, and procurement.
Safety:Oversees preventative maintenance plan and compliance; coordination of maintenance and repairs; accurately track fleet maintenance and provide updates on status; assist with insurance claims and investigations of incidents; perform continual operational and safety analysis; participate in safety committee meetings as appropriate.
Administrative Tasks:Performs tasks to ensure smooth running of the office setting for all staff and customers; cover shifts as necessary; serves as backup to main (lead) dispatcher, coordinating office equipment, supplies, and IT program needs
Required Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities that are required for success in this position.
Experience:Three years experience in the field or related field. Experience in management or supervisory role; experience demonstrating positive skills in public relations; experience in writing and managing grants.
Skills/Knowledge:Demonstrated organizational skills, positive interpersonal skill, and working knowledge of accounting system and spreadsheets; ability to carry out several tasks simultaneously and organize time to meet deadlines; exhibit self-motivation, high energy level, high level of organization and efficiency; demonstrate ability to make appropriate programmatic decisions and ensure compliance with program and performance standards; ability to prepare and present clear, concise and comprehensive reports in a timely manner; ability to disseminate technical information in a clear, concise manner understood by a layperson; must be bondable; ability to effectively supervise and train employees; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Education:Associate's Degree or equivalent work/life experience
Confidentiality:This position requires regular handling of sensitive and confidential client and agency information. Unauthorized disclosure could harm client interests and the organization and may also violate state and federal privacy laws. This position will have full access to reports, records, and personnel files, and must exercise the highest level of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality at all times.
Other requirements of the position:This position is subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities that are advantageous to success in this role but not required.
Experience:Experience with transit, transportation, seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
Skills/Knowledge:Experience with federal, state, and/or local compliance.
Education:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work/life experience, preferred
Licenses/Certifications:First Aid / CPR
Supervision of others:Position has effective recommendation authority to hire, evaluate, discipline, or recommend changes of status. Two or more subordinate workers, volunteers or clients who are all in the same or similar occupation.
Additional Responsibilities of this role:
Bilingual Skillset:Fluent English Speaking, required; Spanish Speaking a plus
Language Skills:Read and comprehend basic information and instructions. Present factual information to others. Ability to interpret government regulations, rules and procedures. Read, interpret & write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to define problems, establish facts & draw valid conclusions. Persuasive public speaking skills necessary.
Software/Tools/Technologies:Experience with proprietary software, financial or accounting software, grant management. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Google Workspace, cloud-based document filing and sharing, scheduling and calendar tools, phone and messaging systems. Successful experience with program and budget management tools.
Financial Responsibility:Has responsibility for generating revenue and/or approving, monitoring and adjusting expenditures for a single program or multiple but closely related programs.
Travel:Occasional travel for training or conferences
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Drivers License:Valid driver's license required
Physical, mental and emotional attributes:Required to perform this job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions/Environmental Factors:The position involves either occasional (up to 25% of working time) physical exertion up to 20 lbs or regular driving, usually locally, to attend meetings or run errands.
