• Project Manager, Electric Operations

    Connexus Energy (Ramsey, MN)


    We're hiring a Project Manager, Electric Operations, to join the team at Connexus Energy. This new position will centrally manage the portfolio of major electric system construction projects to achieve a high completion rate of projects. This role will be expected to manage capital spending within budget, remain within the planned scope, and deliver high quality to support industry-leading electric system reliability and outstanding member satisfaction.

    Location:

    Work for this position can be performed both on-site at our campus located at 14601 Ramsey Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303, and from your local home office as duties require. While this position is designated as a hybrid role, based on current policy, hires must reside in or relocate within commuting distance to our office in Ramsey, MN.

     

    Anticipated hiring pay is between $96,000-$129,465 annually. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 8% based on company performance.

    In this position you will:

    + Centrally manage the major electric construction projects to achieve high completion rate and improve execution. This includes developing and administering project tracking, understanding schedule impacts, driving accountability, collaborating with stakeholders, and prioritizing major electric construction projects to meet system and member needs.

    + Manage project spending against budget, scope of work against plans, and quality of delivery, to support the cooperative’s financial health and to improve efficiency.

    + Coordinate with project management office (PMO) to enhance effectiveness of the cooperative’s overall project management efforts.

    + Manage other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

    Need to have:

    + Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, or related field.

    + Three or more years managing a portfolio of cross-departmental projects.

    + Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local project sites as required.

    Nice to have:

    + Five or more years managing a portfolio cross-departmental construction projects at an electric utility.

    + Formal training in project management concepts, practices and tools.

    + Knowledge of utility and/or electric utility construction.

    + Experience coordinating with governmental agencies.

    + PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
