What You'll Get To Do:
The Regional Distribution Center (DC) Manager’s role will have responsibility for overseeing development strategies and execution, operational planning, inventory management, logistics performance, profit & loss, as well as stakeholder interfaces and communication for the West Coast distribution operations within PLSA and PEXNA’s supply chain operations. This is a pivotal leadership role that will ensure optimal availability and productive utilization of resources and assets across all channels, and responsive solutions to changes in demand.
The Manager will work closely with PLSA and PEXNA Management to formulate strategic goals, and implementation plans to promote and sustain a lean, efficient, and agile distribution center operations.
Major Responsibilities
+ Operational Excellence and Management
+ Plans and directs all distribution activities at multiple regional DC including receiving, storing, shipping, routing, handling returned/damaged goods, and administrative tasks to ensure customer and company requirements are met
+ Directs and oversees job assignments and daily schedules to ensure timely and accurate processes are completed.
+ Drives continuous improvement projects in the areas of responsibility to ensure there is harmonization of processes within the Cross Dock and DC operations to ensure a lean, fit and agile operation.
+ Ensures high inventory accuracy through planned cycle counts, physical inventories, timely inventory adjustments, and actively monitoring Grief, Aging and Material Review Board (MRB) items to properly disposition and reconcile.
+ Responsible for continuously delivering an efficient operation and layout of the warehouse by optimizing Cross Dock and DC processes in the respective operations areas; receiving, stores, inventory control, shipping, etc.
+ Collaborates with internal stakeholders and seeks feedback to continually exceed and enhance the customer experience.
+ Lead budget management, development of reporting standards and KPI/Performance measurement communication that provides visibility and guidance for on-site tactical operations team and business stakeholders.
+ Receive, review, and process invoices systematically and cross functional with accounting
+ Contributes to the conceptual design, communication and implementation of procedures, processes, tools, and applications as related to new and existing business information systems.
+ Provides direction, performs issue resolution, and sets deadlines to ensure activities are completed timely.
+ Ensures a work environment which provides for team spirit, quality work, safety and staff maintains consistent compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
+ Recruit, train, and provide developmental opportunities for employees to ensure a motivated and productive work team.
+ Manage relationship with 3PL and internal customers
Logistics
+ Change Agent for creating, deploying and adopting effective supply chain business processes, governance and innovative toolsets.
+ Interface and consult with customers and supply chain team members.
+ Identify and prioritize daily warehouse operations requirements in collaboration and engagement with staff to meet business needs to achieve efficient customer order execution.
+ Establish and monitor distribution performance-based measurement systems.
+ Provide data and recommendations to executive management on tracking, costing and usage alternatives.
+ Resolve issues concerning transportation, inbound/outbound/import/export, logistics systems and applications.
+ Originate and develop new ideas and concepts to create unique and alternative solutions operational service and performance gaps.
+ Effectively support transportation policies and guidelines to the organization.
+ Establish, maintain, and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) with designated service providers to ensure compliance with company expectations, deliverables and regulatory requirements.
+ Comply with ethical business conduct requirements.
+ Project Manage and lead continuous improvement
+ Support financial, purchasing, and monthly report preparing processes
Knowledge Base
+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge of key applications and processes in the supply chain operations.
+ Is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in warehouse processes and respective toolsets.
+ Quickly acquires working knowledge of new tools and applications to assess opportunities, strategic alignment and appropriate.
+ Detailed understanding of financial concepts (budgets, forecasting, profit/loss, and variance analysis).
+ Strong people skills, verbal, and written communication skills (including presentations to internal/external groups)
+ Clear understanding of PDCA concept and philosophy with ability to exercise fundamentals on a recurring basis.
+ Good judgement with common sense approach in decision-making when addressing complex operational issues.
+ Proven record of successful leadership where results have a positive impact KPIs and cost reductions of the organization.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer applications (Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)
+ Effective time management skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, customer service driven environment.
+ Ability to develop and operate within a budget and to analyze expense variance and make appropriate adjustments.
+ Experience or expertise on international inbound and outbound shipments, FTZ and/or bonded experience preferred.
+ Experience turning data into business insights, use of SQL and Power BI and/or process automaters like Alteryx a plus
+ CTPAT knowledge and experience a plus
+ Experience with MHE maintenance programs
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Education/Experience requirements
+ BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Logistics, or Engineering
+ 5 years leadership experience and/or 3 years account management experience
+ 5 plus years of experience in Logistics and Operations teams
+ Lean Continuous Improvement Experience required. Certification a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other tools for complex data analysis
+ Familiarity with data visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau or Power BI is a plus
+ Track record of process and data automation using tools like power automate, Alteryx, blue prism, RPA software
Other Requirements
+ International and domestic travel required: 15% - 25%
+ Bilingual – must be able to read, write and speak in Spanish

The wage range of $100,000 - $120,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
