A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
As the Assurance Director for Siemens Energy Assurance, you
will lead audit engagements across the Americas region and supports in driving
operational excellence. This role involves managing a high-performing audit
team, delivering audits that meet the highest quality standards, and building
positive relationships with senior business leaders. You will play a key role
in strengthening internal controls, aligning with global standards, and
promoting risk-based decision-making!
Success in this role requires a strong background in
auditing, accounting, and risk management, along with solid knowledge of
project execution and financial reporting. You must be an effective leader and
communicator, able to manage multiple priorities and diverse partners. A key
focus will be advancing audit practices through data analytics and digital
tools to improve both audit quality and efficiency. This role reports directly
to the Head of Assurance Americas!
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
+ Lead,direct and perform the activities for corporate audits, withaccountability for the planning, alignment, execution and reporting ofaudit activities as per the approved annual audit plan.
+ Implementquality gates and ensure that the audits performed meet InternationalStandards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
+ Meetwith cross-functional business leadership teams (e.g., Accounting,Finance, Project Management, Control, Procurement, Sales) during auditplanning to gain an understanding of business processes, risks andchallenges of the function to be audited.
+ Supportthe annual risk assessment process to evaluate the likelihood and impactof risks for the organization and support the advancement of dataanalytics to automate tasks, expand audit coverage and increase teamefficiency.
+ Manage,develop, and mentor staff to ensure effective operation as well assupervise your team and promote their professional development throughmentoring, career coaching, and the annual performance feedback process.
What You Bring (requirements)
+ Bachelor’sdegree in a business-related field required; a Master’s degree andprofessional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CFE are stronglypreferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
+ 12years+ of relevant internal audit in an energy/oil/ renewable energyindustry or Experience within a Big 4 accounting firm
+ Priorexperience with Siemens Energy applications, customers, processes, andproducts is preferred, along with strong familiarity with relevantbusiness operations.
+ Provenexperience conducting financial statement audits in accordance withstandards such as IFRS and GAAS, with demonstrated leadership in leadingteams and developing talent.
+ Willingnessand ability to travel internationally as required to support global auditactivities and business engagement.
+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.
