Your Career
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Federal Marketing Manager to join our U.S. Public Sector Marketing team. This visible, high-impact role is ideal for a strategic marketer who is deeply passionate about advancing the Federal mission and brings a nuanced understanding of Federal procurement, policy and technology trends. The ideal candidate has a strong network within the Federal space, sharp business acumen and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organization. We’re looking for someone who is self-directed, mission-oriented and not afraid to challenge convention—bringing disruptive, creative approaches to Federal and B2G marketing. This key role plays a critical part in positioning Palo Alto Networks as the trusted cybersecurity partner of choice for the U.S. Federal government.
Your Impact
Plan & Execute
+ Develop and execute a quarterly marketing plan with clear strategic focus areas, tactical initiatives and outcomes aligned to Federal GTM objectives.
+ Partner closely with capture teams and strategic Ecosystems partners to build integrated co-marketing plans that influence deals and deepen customer and partner engagement.
+ Ensure timely delivery of programs that meet or exceed performance metrics and business goals.
+ Monitor budgets and allocate funds to maximize ROI while staying within quarterly budget parameters.
+ Adapt plans to reflect shifting market dynamics, feedback, and performance data.
Elevate Palo Alto Networks Brand & Drive Demand
+ Lead branding and awareness efforts across the Federal market by crafting compelling narratives that align with agency missions and priorities.
+ Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to develop thought leadership content, PR, and earned media.
+ Stay on top of Federal policy, procurement, and technology trends to inform campaign messaging and strategic timing.
+ Deliver high-impact integrated marketing programs that balance brand elevation with pipeline generation.
+ Inform the development and upkeep of Federal-focused web and digital content.
Drive Pipeline Generation
+ Own Federal pipeline targets and work closely with GTM teams to deliver measurable pipeline and bookings outcomes.
+ Drive demand through account-based marketing, integrated program innovation, and aligned event strategies.
+ Manage Federal participation in global and regional events, driving executive-level attendance and post-event follow-up.
+ Report quarterly marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline contributions.
+ Lead Federal customer and Ecosystem partner participation in Palo Alto Networks’ signature events.
Operate with a Federal CMO mindset
+ Act as the Federal Sales strategic marketing partner—bridging communication across GTM, Product Marketing, Government Affairs, Policy, and Corporate Marketing.
+ Influence across the business and provide clear, regular updates to key stakeholders on campaign activity, results, and sales alignment.
+ Lead internal alignment across Federal initiatives to maintain a unified voice and strategic direction.
+ Coordinate and communicate priorities and key initiatives across all GTMs and cross-functional workstreams.
Your Experience
+ 8+ years of B2G/Federal marketing experience, with a strong understanding of the Federal landscape, procurement cycles, and agency missions.
+ Deep network within the Federal IT and cybersecurity community, including partners, influencers, stakeholders and media partners.
+ Strong grasp of Federal trends, emerging policies, and legislative drivers influencing technology adoption.
+ Proven success designing and executing creative, disruptive, and strategic campaigns tailored to Federal audiences.
+ Self-motivated and entrepreneurial; bias toward action, able to work independently, make data-driven decisions and able to swiftly navigate complex scenarios.
+ Excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.
+ Comfortable engaging with executives and public affairs leaders to align strategy and message.
+ Passion and commitment to supporting the U.S. government’s mission.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $152,000 - $220,000/YR.
