A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
The Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing
operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while
managing the production team. This role includes supervising employees,
scheduling, line balancing, and monitoring quality, efficiency, and compliance
with Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Acting as the primary
contact for production issues, the supervisor fosters teamwork and drives
process improvements. Strong leadership skills are essential for success in
this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
+ Ensuresafe work practices are followed by all manufacturing personnel,addressing deficiencies and taking corrective action as needed to maintainOSHA compliance and prioritize workplace safety.
+ Studydaily operating results, meet with subordinates and supervisors to resolveproduction issues, and maintain cooperation between departments to ensuresmooth operations.
+ Managestaffing by ensuring correct workforce distribution, coordinatingtemporary staffing needs, and overseeing training for all new ortransferred employees.
+ Monitorand evaluate overtime requirements, authorize vital overtime, trackemployee attendance records, and enforce company policies when needed.
+ Assistin mediation of personnel issues, conduct disciplinary actions whenrequired, and continuously coach and develop the production team toenhance skills and flexibility.
+ Evaluateproduction reports and metrics, monitor customer production requirements,coordinate schedule adjustments, and implement strategies to meet bothshort- and long-term business goals.
What You Bring (requirements)
+ 3+years of direct supervisory experience in investment casting
+ 5+plus years of manufacturing experience involving alignment, assembly work,casting, welding and machining
+ Bacheloror Associates Degree or equivalent work-related experience (4 years)
+ Experienceworking in a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaboratingeffectively with diverse departments, and demonstrating strong proficiencywith computers and Microsoft Office software for efficient workflow andreporting.
+ Provenconflict resolution skills with an hourly manufacturing workforce,addressing issues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power
generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power
generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and
digitalization of the fleet.
