    Project Manager - Part Time - Facilities - Days

     

    Department: SUPPORT SERVICES ADMIN

    Job Summary

    The Project Manager coordinates construction and renovation projects across MVHS supporting growth and an improved environment for patients, visitors and staff. Interfaces with stakeholders including leadership, physicians, staff, architects, engineers, contractors and other consultants.

     

    Core Job Responsibilities

     

    + Develop draft concepts and design layouts, develops estimates and proposals.

    + Coordinate and monitor activities with outsourced contractors to complete renovations and modifications to facilities.

    + Use project management tools such as project master schedules, estimate and cost tracking tools and time trackers. Ensure construction projects remain on schedule and within budget.

    + Schedule contractors, vendors and staff.

    + Maintain project closeouts including as-built drawings and other associated documentation.

    + Perform initial review of payment applications.

    + Provide oversight and coordination of project management team members and partners. Provide feedback to the Facilities Management leadership team on staff and vendor performance as appropriate.

    + Review the scope of each project for compliance with applicable building codes, regulations and guidelines.

    + Ensure vendors, contractor and in-house Facilities staff adhere to all safety and infection prevention protocols, policies and regulations.

    + Perform related duties as required.

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + Associates degree in project management, construction or a related field.

    + 3 years of construction management, healthcare facilities maintenance and/or operations experience.

    + Knowledge of building and life safety codes, NYS DOH, CMS, DNV and other regulatory requirements,

    + Strong computer skills with proficiency in drafting software.

    + Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to travel to worksites within the region in various weather conditions.

    PREFERRED:

    + Prior project management or supervisory experience

    + 5 years of experience in project or construction management
