    Critical Incident Response and Training Specialist

    We’re looking for a mission-driven, compassionate professional to join our dynamic team. In this impactful role, the Critical Incident Response and Training Specialist provides immediate and short-term behavioral health support in the aftermath of critical incidents in community, school, and workplace settings.

     

    This position plays a key role in the timely delivery of response services and helps strengthen trauma-informed practices through training, consultation, and skill-building across systems of care.

    As a valued member of our team, the Critical Incident Response and Training Specialist will:

    + Respond to critical incidents and provide follow-up consultation, psychoeducation, and referrals to appropriate services

    + Learn and deliver training on behavioral health topics, including trauma-informed care and suicide prevention/postvention, with content adapted to meet the needs of various audiences

    + Take the lead in coordinating responses when needed, ensuring support is timely and well-organized

    + Collaborate with the broader Trauma Center team to implement and enhance training programs and develop expertise in key content areas

     

    This role involves both in-person and virtual service delivery, and may require travel throughout the region.

     

    Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week

     

    + Generally, this will be M-F 9-5 with flexibility; Some flexibility may be required to support urgent response needs or training schedules. Travel across Massachusetts is expected.

     

    Pay Rate Range: $65,000-$68,000 depending on experience

    Required Skills

    + Familiarity with PFA, trauma-informed practices, and suicide prevention

    + Comfortable facilitating training to large groups and diverse audiences

    + Proven ability to build rapport and work cross-culturally with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds

    + Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of a neurodiverse population

    + Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout the region for responses and training

    + Technological proficiency, including comfort with virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams), online training tools, and electronic documentation systems and the ability to quickly learn new platforms used for virtual training and documentation

    Required Experience

    + Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience in crisis response, trauma work, or training/education
