    1, Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

    Objective:

    To support Safran Seats USA aftermarket and their internal and external customers with a strategic global alignment within the global aftermarket strategic guidance to deliver products and services to meet customer on-time commitments, with 100% quality, reducing depth of delays, while maintaining margin and financial goals committed by the group. This position will work within Safran Seats Global policies to leverage or create processes that support early This role will work with the Vice Presidents of each business unit with general supervision to align on overall strategic and tactical approached in order to devise group strategic plans.

     

    2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Main Function Responsibilities:

    A) Pre-project and preparation for future phase-

    • Accountable and ownership of the SSUSA Fast Track initiatives and integrate with group directors and Vice Presidents to maximize overall on time delivery of spare parts.

    • Assist the aftermarket sales teams in responses to customer RFIs and RFQs for special spare parts projects.

    • Advise and coordinate the technological improvement actions for aftermarket, working with the aftermarket group in order to maintain efficiency within the digital transformation projects to measure overall group performance.

    • Develop and present reports, presentations, and corrective action plans to customers, and key internal leadership and external stakeholders on aftermarket strategy, performance and support improvement projects that integrate the three different business units.

     

    B) Innovative ideas from group leadership

     

    C) Develop and execute innovative ideas from group aftermarket strategy teams that yield process improvements throughout aftermarket SSUSA

     

    • Provide proactive support in the development and implementation of the global aftermarket FAST Track and forecasting program and lead and own the implementation of the overall strategy to align with purchasing, procurement, planning and scheduling, and supply chain management to include multiple manufacturing sites.

    • Drive the implementation of the Aftermarket strategy of the applicable Engineering and Program Management related actions within compliance with the global aftermarket plan.

    Complementary Description

    • Ensure that the Purchasing department exhaustively covers Aftermarket needs by representing the Aftermarket department and promote the Aftermarket process within the Integrated Program Team (IPT). The individual will also align with the IPT within the Purchasing department.

    • Ensure compliance with the objectives, orientations and constraints of the Aftermarket needs, along with adherence to aftermarket group policy and new product strategies.

    D) Production and operational support phase-

    • Coordinate and drive cost reduction actions (process optimization, resourcing, value engineering) in compliance with the budgets and implementation deadlines provided as part of the global aftermarket executive committee

    • Support integrated support between SSUSA, SSFRA, and SSGB to align with budgetary and financial targets related to spare parts and process improvements.

    E) Functional missions linked to Aftermarket Spares

    • Participate as a permanent member of the Aftermarket Management Team

    • Participate in the planning of the Supplier Review and Selection Teams, assist Commodity Managers & Buyers with their preparations when required by Aftermarket to drive its internal global Aftermarket goals.

    • Align all three business units for spares support and daily tactical tasks to complete SSUSA demand for SSGB and SSFRA.

    • Create alignement with requirements with regard to Export Control as it relates to the delivery of aftermarket spare parts.

    Job Requirements

    • Support customer account plan development between the business unit's and program management in order to align to overall group customer strategies

    E) Functional missions linked to Aftermarket Spares

    • Participating as a permanent member of the Aftermarket Leadership Team

    • Participate in the planning of the Supplier Review and Selection Teams, assist Commodity Managers & Buyers with their preparations when required by Aftermarket to drive its internal global Aftermarket goals.

    • Align all three business units for spares support and daily tactical tasks to complete SSUSA demand for SSGB and SSFRA.

    • Create alignment with requirements with regard to Export Control as it relates to the delivery of aftermarket spare parts

    • Maintain an Action Item List in support of the Program Purchasing Plan that support aftermarket customers and drive the necessary actions in the event of changes with an impact on the program

    • Provide technical support, problem solving, supplier training, project management, implementation skills, to aftermarket, engineering, front office, back office, program managers, and suppliers for assigned commodities, projects, and programs.

    • Drive activities required to meet cost, quality, inventory, delivery, and cycle time objectives throughout the supply chain value stream to support Aftermarket.

    3. Qualification Requirements

    A. Education & Qualification-

    • A bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related fields, is required or six years of equivalent/related experience. Master's degree preferred.

    B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-

    • Additionally, 10 years of hands-on experience working in business case development, strategic planning, financial reporting, understand logistics and manufacturing processes.

    C. Professional Skills-

    • Operational experience of over 10 years, including experience with suppliers in a structure such as Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Planning, Engineering

    • Knowledge of the development and production processes

    • Experience in Project Management

    • Configuration Management and Build of Materials

    • Experience in transverse management

    • Cross functional Management

    • Analysis and formalization of customer requirements

    • Understand the technical environment and customer's expectations

    • Management of the supplier relationships

    • Purchasing and Supply Chain administration

    • Analysis of economic performance

    • Fundamentals of negotiation

    • Knowledge of industrial management methods

    • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite

    • Analytical and synthetically minded
